Protection Measures for Employee Work Environment and Personal Safety:

(1) The company, in accordance with the “Occupational Safety and Health Management Regulations,” appoints dedicated professional personnels responsible for the company’s environmental and occupational safety and health affairs. Based on the characteristics of the site, assessments and improvements are implemented for facilities related to employee safety and health, such as passageways, floors, stairs, ventilation, lighting, machinery, and fire prevention.

(2) The company establishes an “Occupational Safety and Health Committee,” with the Chairman serving as the Chief Commissioner and the General Manager as the Deputy Chief Commissioner. Each factory holds meetings every three months to discuss and communicate opinions on safety and health issues, and promotes environmental safety and health management in accordance with the company’s “Occupational Safety and Health Policy.”

(3) To maintain employee safety and health, and to implement autonomous occupational safety and health management, the company has established an “Occupational Safety and Health Management Plan” and “Occupational Safety and Health Work Guidelines,” which have been submitted for approval by the competent authority. All employees are required to comply with and uphold these guidelines. Additionally, safety and health education and training are conducted in accordance with the “Occupational Safety and Health Education and Training Rules,” which include education and training for new hires, transfers, and existing employees, aiming to enhance employee awareness of occupational safety and health and create a zero-accident workplace.

(4) To ensure the safety of the operational environment within the factory, the company conducts regular operational environment monitoring every six months in accordance with the “Labor Operational Environment Monitoring Implementation Regulations.” This is carried out by qualified operational environment monitoring organizations to understand the actual exposure to environmental hazards in the workplace. If abnormal results are obtained, engineering controls and administrative management improvements are immediately implemented in the affected areas. Suitable personal protective equipment is provided to employees to reduce exposure to acceptable levels.

(5) To eliminate potential operational hazards, an “Automatic Inspection Plan” is established. This plan includes regular automatic inspections of hazardous machinery and equipment, power tools, fire safety equipment, water dispensers, and various machinery and equipment. Routine inspections of operational environments in each department are conducted to ensure safe operation and use of the company’s facilities and equipment.

(6) Each factory establishes self-defense firefighting teams and conducts regional evacuation and disaster prevention drills for scenarios such as fires and chemical leaks irregularly throughout the year. This is done to ensure the effective response to emergencies and disaster prevention, reduce the impact of disasters on employees and the company, and safeguard employee safety.

(7) Caring for the physical and mental health of employees is the company’s responsibility. The company has on-site nurses and hires doctors to provide on-site services and consultations at each factory on a regular basis. The company offers health check-up services that exceed regulatory requirements in terms of items and frequency. Free annual employee health check-ups and special health examinations are conducted, followed by statistical analysis of the health examination results. Based on health risk management, risk-stratified management is implemented, high-risk health groups are monitored, and workplace health promotion and occupational disease prevention efforts are promoted. In the fiscal year 2022, a total of 2,423 employee health check-ups were conducted, and a total of 115 special health examinations (noise) were conducted across all factory areas.

(8) To prevent potential maternal health hazards for female employees, a maternal health protection and management process is established. After comprehensive assessment by on-site service physicians, measures such as risk-stratified management and on-site improvements are implemented to ensure the physical and mental health of pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding female employees. Regular maternal health education information is provided, and “Breastfeeding Rooms” are set up to meet the needs of breastfeeding female employees.

(9)To promote workplace harmony and ensure all employees are safeguarded from physical or mental abuse while performing their duties, we have established the “Prevention Plan for Incidents of Unlawful Acts in the Course of Duty.” We adamantly prohibit any acts of workplace bullying by management-level supervisors and will not tolerate incidents of workplace violence involving our employees, associates, or strangers associated with our business transactions.

(10)Faced with potential threats to the workplace from emerging infectious diseases, our company’s dedicated unit continuously monitors global information on emerging infectious diseases, assesses their subsequent impacts, and devises workplace epidemic response plans. Specifically targeting the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we formulated the “Prevention and Response Plan for Severe Infectious Respiratory Diseases,” providing employees with immediate epidemic information and guidance. Through concrete preventive measures, our aim is to minimize infectious risks to the lowest possible extent.

(11)Since 2017, our company has equipped each factory area with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and conducts annual training sessions for emergency personnel in AED operation, ensuring preparedness for unforeseen circumstances.
